As Gamescom 2019 draws closer, now with about a week to go, more developers and publishers are starting to announce their playable titles for one of the biggest gaming events of the year.

Over the past few weeks we’ve seen lineups from Microsoft and Xbox, who will be showcasing Xbox Game Studios titles for the console and PC, as well as Nintendo who will be debuting the highly-anticipated The Witcher 3 port for the Switch console during the event. Smaller publishers and developers like Microids, THQ Nordic, Wired Productions and Modus Games have also announced their lineup of playable titles for Gamescom 2019.

Last week, big-name publishers like Sega, Square Enix and Ubisoft also announced their list of playable games, which include some of the biggest AAA releases in the coming months. The slate of presenting publishers for the Opening Night Live event as hosted by Geoff Keighley was also announced last week.

This time around, we’ve got two titles from Goiuchi “Suda51” Suda, and they are very special and different projects. The games are born from “Project Infinito,” which is a joint collaboration between two video game universities: the Vantan Game Academy of Japan, and the Vigamus Academy/Link Campus University in Italy. Suda51 teaches at both schools, and the two games came from concepts by the students.

  • Lullaby – this title tells the story of Anne, a little girl with the power of an incredibly vivid imagination. However, this proves to be a curse as much of a gift, as her thoughts manifest themselves into things and beings that would otherwise harm her. The trailer shown doesn’t reveal much in terms of gameplay, but it does look like it’s going to be quite the tense horror title.
  • Cosmo Express – this quirky-looking title is set in space, aboard a very strange train. Your goal is to escort a VIP, who is also a bratty alien queen, while trying to find a mysterious thief that snuck aboard. In order to do this, you need to engage with the train’s various passengers, which will yield clues and ultimately bring you one step closer to the truth.

Check back in with us for more news and reveals about the upcoming Gamescom, which will be posted once it develops.
