As Gamescom 2019 draws closer, now with less than a month to go, more developers and publishers are starting to announce their playable titles for one of the biggest gaming events of the year.
Over the past few weeks we’ve seen lineups from Microsoft and Xbox, who will be showcasing Xbox Game Studios titles for the console and PC, as well as Nintendo who will be debuting the highly-anticipated The Witcher 3 port for the Switch console during the event. Smaller publishers and developers like Microids, THQ Nordic and Wired Productions have also announced their lineup of playable titles for Gamescom 2019. Just yesterday, we also got a look at the publishers who will be presenting during the Opening Night Live event on August 19, to be hosted by Geoff Keighley.
For this piece, we’re looking at the famed independent publisher Modus Games who has announced their lineup of playable titles for Gamescom 2019. Three of them are already announced, but the publisher also included two more teases that will be announced at the event itself. Check them out below.
- Ary and the Secret of Seasons – developed by eXiin and set for release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC, this action/exploration-based title features Ary, a young girl who can bend seasons of weather to her will. Ary and the Secret of Seasons will be released sometime in Q1 2020.
- Cris Tales – developed by Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK and set for release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC, this game follows a young girl’s adventure through an expansive and beautiful world set in the past, present and future. Cris Tales will be released sometime next year.
- Trine 4 : The Nightmare Prince – the long-awaited sequel to the celebrated puzzler-platformer series will be playable at Gamescom, with players getting to experience a first in the series: four-person multiplayer. Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is being developed by Frozenbyte and will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC on October 8.
- Unannounced game 1 – Modus provided some clues as to this title, describing it as such: “Roll through [REDACTED] while you make and break all sorts of [REDACTED] each customized [REDACTED] endless fun!”
- Unannounced game 2 – Modus also gave some clues to this one, and it looks like it’s a returning title in a cult classic series.
