As Gamescom 2019 draws closer, with now less than a month to go, more developers and publishers are starting to announce their playable titles for one of the biggest gaming events of the year.

Just last week, Microsoft and Xbox announce their plans and lineup for the event, which is chock full of upcoming games across the Xbox and PC platform under the Xbox Game Studios label. Yesterday, French publisher and developer Microids also announced their slate of titles, all comprised of video game adaptations of popular comic book and graphic novels.

Now THQ Nordic joins the fray, bringing with them a huge lineup of titles for Gamescom 2019. Some of these games will be the first we see of them in any form, so be sure to stick around for possible streams of gameplay videos. Check them out below.

  • Biomutant set for release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, this post-apocalyptic fable has already been delayed numerous times. In a weird twist, it will also be returning to Gamescom, where some of its earlier details were first revealed back in 2017. Let’s hope that this time around, we also get to hear of a proper release date in addition to some new gameplay footage.
  • Desperados III – coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC later this year, this real-time tactic title is the third in the long-running franchise set in a ruthless Wild West scenario. It received quite the attention on E3, where it was also nominated as best strategy game of 2019. Gamescom 2019 will be the first time that Desperados III will be playable for the public.
  • Darksiders Genesis – set for a multiplatform release later this year, this spinoff title to the successful Darksiders franchise sees the introduction of the final Horseman Strife. Darksiders Genesis, unlike its predecessors, is presented in a top-down format, making it play more like a dungeon crawler and looter rather than a third-person action adventure game.
  • Destroy All Humans! – coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, this remake of the classic sixth-generation title sees Crypto returning once more to his nefarious plans of infiltrating, exterminating and dominating all of us.
  • SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated – set for a multiplatform release across all consoles and PC, this extensive remake of the cult classic from 2003 features a ton of new content, like a multiplayer mode and all of the original game’s cut content. SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated will be playable for the first time at Gamescom 2019.
  • A secret, unannounced title – continuing THQ Nordic’s penchant for surprise reveals, an unannounced title will be revealed at Gamescom 2019, with players being able to play it at the event.

Besides these six playable titles, THQ Nordic will also be showcasing three new titles at a behind-closed-doors event during Gamescom. Only one of these will be announced, and this is during the Opening Night live stream event on August 19, to be hosted by Geoff Keighley.

If you’re not able to attend the event, then not to worry, as THQ Nordic will be holding live streams of their games and more, starting at 4:00 a.m. EDT of each day at Gamescom 2019, which will run from August 20 to August 24. You can check out these streams on YouTube, Twitch or Facebook.
