Star Trek Online Publisher Launches New Charity Program

Perfect World Entertainment, the publisher of Star Trek Online, launched its newest charity “Perfect World Level Up.” This program is being launched with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America as a partner. Through this charity, Perfect World hopes to raise funds and awareness to help the organization. This is to be done through marketing promotions as well as employee giving and volunteerism.

For the part of raising funds in particular, Perfect World has partnered with Groupees with the focus on Star Trek Online. Beginning January 28 and all the way to February 4, players can go to Groupees and buy in-game items to help the charity event. All of the proceeds go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

The event is just in time as Star Trek Online is celebrating its 11th Anniversary and recently launched a new season in House Reborn. You can watch the trailer below:

    • Users who purchase this tier will automatically be granted items from Tier 1.
    • Also includes:

      • 1 Fleet Ship Module

Take note that some of the items are limited and may sell out quickly.

Players are not restricted to buying only as they can also make a donation directly. Those who donate at least $100 until February 4 get to be part of a raffle with a chance to win a Star Trek Online Anniversary Legendary Starship Premium Bundle along with a $250 SteelSeries gift card. A total of 5 winners will be selected.

Official Statements

In a press statement, Perfect World CEO Yoon Im shared that they are happy to launch this new program and partner with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. He added that considering the success of its previous charity drivers, it was clear that there was a need to continue this work. Chad Royal-Pascoe of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America stated that they are happy and thankful to be chosen as the partner for Perfect World’s new charity program.

Star Trek Online Executive Producer Andre Emerson also joined the conversation by saying that they’re happy to serve as a partner and that they are honored to find a way to give back to the organization.
