Halloween has officially arrived in Appalachia. That means for the next two weeks, players can expect to have some spooky fun in Fallout 76. The highlights are Spooky Scorched, Pass Out Candy from your Haunted House, and Trick-or-Treat Around Appalachia.

Before we go into what those three activities offer, it’s important to know that Free Play Week is ongoing until October 25. In addition to the free play, there’s also a big sale happening right now with the game being offered at 75% off until October 26.

The Spooky Scorched

It’s not only the players getting fun but even the Scorched. Spooky Scorched runs until November 2 and details are:

  • Spooky Scorched spawn as 1, 2, or 3-star legendaries. That means players get a legendary item each time they take one down.
  • Players get a Spooky Treat Bag which can contain consumables, ammo, and even some Halloween-themed Plans.
  • Get a piece of Mystery Candy that gives one of five random buffs when eaten.
  • Spooky Scorched won’t spawn inside interiors.

Trick or Treat

Trick or treat is always a part of Halloween and this year is no different. From October 19 to November 2, players can go to the Atomic Shop to get a Spooky Candy Bowl for free. This can be placed in the C.A.M.P. and be filled with Mystery Candy for everyone to enjoy.

Mystery Candy is obtained by looting Spooky Scorched or buying them from different train station vendors across Appalachia. Once Mystery Candy has been added to the Spooky Candy Bowl, a pumpkin icon will be displayed on the map. Once the bowl is empty, the icon disappears until it is refilled.

Time to Hunt

As mentioned, once a Spooky Candy Bowl has been stocked with Mystery Candy, the C.A.M.P. where it is located gets a pumpkin icon. Now from October 19 to November 2, players get a new Daily Challenge to go trick-or-treating at the C.A.M.P. of other players. To make sure that the Challenge is credited, players need to be in costume.

Halloween arrives to the game courtesy of Update 1.6.1.18. Read more about the Halloween event and the fixes that arrived here.
