Stellaris: Console Edition is releasing its third expansion pass on September 15. The pass is going to offer three new DLC packs, which roll out towards the end of 2020 and through early 2021. The expansions are going to introduce players to new stories, new species, and even new gameplay mechanics.

Releasing along with the expansion pass is the first DLC pack, which is the Distant Stars Story Pack. In this one, players explore the uncharted depths of space and get to discover new anomalies and even encounter strange beings. It offers new constellations plus almost 50% more anomalies for players to encounter. Exploration will reward players with technology, resources, and valuable worlds to colonize.

The second pack is the MegaCorp Expansion, which is slated to be released in 2021. MegaCorp is all about giving players the keys to the economy. This new expansion introduces players to new tools that come with an era of prosperity along with profit or despair and corporate slavery, but on a galactic scale. Since this expansion is all about economy, players take on the role of the CEO of a powerful corporate empire with the goal of expanding their reach across the stars. There’s no question that the economy can be ruthless, but there are going to be various profit-oriented features that players can use to build an empire.

The third DLC is projected to be released in 2021 and is the Lithoids Species Pack. This expansion introduces the Lithoids, a new species that live long lives and are made entirely of sapient rock. They eat minerals for sustenance and have the ability to colonize in almost any environment. It’s going to give players the chance to try out the Lithoid play style, which puts focus on mineral production and relentless colonization.

Stellaris: Console Edition offers the same deep strategic gameplay as the original Stellaris. It allows players to explore the unknown, discover the mysteries of the universe, or conquer it for the glory of their empire. The Apocalypse Exapansion and Humaniod Species Pack have already been released for the Stellaris: Console Edition back in June.

The third expansion pass is available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for $24.99.
