Square Enix announced that its first event digital is happening this Thursday, March 18. Dubbed as Square Enix Presents, it’s where everyone can learn more about news and updates on games from the developer for 2021.
The show itself starts at 1:00 p.m. EDT and is expected to run for 40 minutes. It’s available in different languages like English, German, Spanish, Italian, and French. Those interested can watch it on these channels:
So what can fans expect during this digital event? For one, it’s going to be the world premiere of Life is Strange 3. Despite the name, it’s actually going to be the fourth game in the franchise. The first one, Life is Strange, was released in 2015 and launched in five episodes across the year. A prequel titled Life is Strange: Before the Storm was launched in 2017 with Life is Strange 2 released in 2018.
Set to be featured as well is Outriders. This is a good time to take another look at the game, which is scheduled to be released on April 1. A demo of the game has been released and has already been downloaded 2 million times early this month.
Balan Wonderworld is also going to be featured during this event. Like Outriders, a demo is available for those who want to try the game but the official launch is on March 26.
One reason why this digital event is something to look forward to is that there’s likely going to be an announcement about the Tomb Raider franchise. The first game in the series was released in October 1996, which means it’s celebrating its 25th anniversary. We’re actually excited to know about any plans Square Enix has for this franchise.
The digital event is also set to showcase Marvel’s Avengers and everyone has the chance to see what’s arriving in the game. There will be an announcement for the Just Cause Mobile as well. Let’s see how they’re going to make the shift to the mobile platform. Speaking of mobile games, Square Enix is set to make some announcements in that regard too.
Finally, there will be a TAITO showcase and fans can check out in the event what titles are coming from this company.
