League of Legends: Wild Rift Smite in ARURF Now Works Differently in Patch 4.0

Patch 4.0 Riot Games

The popular All Random Ultra Rapid Fire Mode (ARURF) has returned to League of Legends: Wild Rift in Patch 4.0. With its re-introduction to the game, there’s a brand new mechanic that you need to know, especially if you’re a jungler main.

The new mechanic in question is called Execute Smite. Unlike the traditional Smite, the new Execute Smite functions passively for Wild Rift junglers, thus freeing up a precious spell slot. What’s more, it has no cooldown, so it can trigger numerous times so long as the specific condition is met.

Speaking of which, how do you trigger it? Well, bringing an Epic Monster’s HP to 800 or below (400 HP or below for large monsters) will automatically execute them, while also healing you for 8% of your maximum HP. It is worth noting that the culling strike only occurs with direct damage, meaning it won’t trigger from damage over time effects.

Jungle Expertise is also in effect, making junglers’ lives easier in Patch 4.0. This entails several significant buffs. First, junglers receive 20% more bonus gold and experience from jungle monsters, though this comes at the cost of temporarily getting less gold and XP from minions. Second, attack damage and ability damage against jungle monsters are increased by 15% and 30%, respectively. Third, junglers restore 40 HP over five seconds while battling jungle monsters. And lastly, junglers restore four mana every second while in the jungle or river.

ARURF in Wild Rift is available until February 1 at 7:01 p.m. EST.
