League of Legends: Wild Rift Atrox Performed Really Well Since Release, Then Riot Nerfed Him in Patch 3.5a

Patch 3.5a Riot Games

Riot Games introduced the Darkin Blade Aatrox in a previous major update. This new champion has been performing really well since release, which prompted the company to nerf him in League of Legends: Wild Rift Patch 3.5a.

In the right hands, Aatrox can be a truly formidable champion in Wild Rift. He not only has the ability to pull enemies in with his Infernal Chains, but his ultimate can also provide significant boosts to movement speed, attack damage, and healing.

That said, Riot has pretty much nerfed Aatrox’s power across the board. First, his attack speed per level has been reduced from 2.2% to just 1.2%. Next, the maximum monster damage of his Deathbringer Stance has been cut by half, now only dealing 50 damage instead of 100.

The Darkin Blade, which Aatrox uses to deal lots of damage to his foes, is also nerfed. The “sweet spot” damage bonus is reduced by 10%, while the ability cooldown is increased slightly to 13.5/11/8.5/6 seconds.

To complete the set of nerfs for Aatrox, his Umbral Dash’s base and enhanced healing ratios have been reduced to 19/21/23/25% and 24/31/38/45%, respectively.

While Aatrox has been really powerful since he was introduced, the same cannot be said for Kayn. According to Riot, a set of buffs is required because the Shadow Reaper's performance has fallen short of expectations.

For one, his base attack damage got a four-point increase. Moreover, his Reaping Slash’s bonus attack damage ratio is changed from a flat 65% on all levels to 60/65/70/75%.

Here are the other champion changes in Wild Rift’s latest update:

    • Shadow Assassin bonus movement speed increased to 75%

So, what can you say about the recent adjustments for Aatrox and Kayn?
