New content coming! Saber Interactive

World War Z gave fans a preview of what to expect in the upcoming Second Season. Saber Interactive has shared a new roadmap, which is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of this year. Indeed, the roadmap looks to offers a large amount of new content for players to enjoy.

The roadmap shows two upcoming updates. Update Four, for instance, will offer two new and challenging PvE missions that are set in New York and Moscow. A new weapon is also going to be included in the update. Updates to the Prestige Ranks and Rewards are also coming, like being able to prestige rank up for new perks and weapon skins.

For Update Five, four main features are arriving. These are:

  • The introduction of a wave-based horde mode titled Horde Mode Z
  • New cosmetic items
  • A dangerous new Special Zombie type
  • PvE crossplay support

Update Five is not all free content, as it also includes paid DLC. For the paid DLC, players can expect four new weapon skins along with four new character skins.

Back in August, World War Z introduced the Proving Grounds update. Changes to the game included adding the new Weekly Challenge Mode. Completing the weekly challenges awarded players with Challenge Coins. Challenge coins can be spent on unlocking customization options like headgear, character skins, and even backpack attachments, among others.

World War Z Review: Great Potential Tainted By Mediocre Online Service
Underneath the connectivity issues and game-breaking bugs is a solid third-person zombie shooter in the vein of the classic Left 4 Dead series.
  • -Solid and weighty gunplay with a huge variety of guns
  • -Amazing game and level design
  • -Good replayability
  • -A stand-out co-op game, whenever the online works
  • -Bad connectivity issues in a primarily multiplayer game
  • -Presence of some game-breaking bugs
  • -Relatively small content size (unless updated)
