About the Game

Wolfenstein: The New Order is a first-person shooter game released in 2014, the seventh title of the main series, and a soft reboot of the long-running Wolfenstein franchise. The game takes place in an alternative universe where the Nazis won the war. You play as William Blazkowicz, a veteran of World War 2 and a member of a resistance group.

The game was a critical and financial success. It received a standalone single-player expansion, Wolfenstein: Old Blood, which acts as a prequel to the original game; also well-received. A full-fledged sequel, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, was released in 2017 and is set after the events of The New Order.

The franchise received two spin-offs, Wolfenstein: Youngblood and Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, released in 2019. Youngblood is a co-op game where you play Jessie or Zofia Blazkowicz, daughters of William. Cyberpilot is a VR title where you play as a hacker who works for the French resistance.

About the Developer

Post-reboot Wolfenstein games have been developed by Swedish developer Machine Games. As of right now, the developer is working on an Indiana Jones game and Wolfenstein 3, a proper sequel to The New Colossus. We don’t have any information about the two titles. A teaser trailer for the Indiana Jones game was released, which you can watch above.
