If you are subscribed to PS Now, you are in for a treat this month. The subscription service is offering three top-notch games, including Remedy's Control, Square Enix's Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and Bethesda's Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.
These new games were first announced on the PlayStationNow Reddit and according to a Resetera user, the games have been already added to the service. However, you cannot play these games as of now, as you'll have to wait until later this month when they unlock.
The information was also later confirmed on the official PlayStation blog. Since these are some of the best AAA games, PS Now subscribers will receive these titles quite happily. On a similar side note, Control was also announced to arrive on Xbox Game Pass. The information was revealed by none other than the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer. Oddly, both Microsoft and 505 Games later stated that the information was incorrect.
“I thought Control was really good, it didn't reach enough people, so I'm glad to see it's coming in to Game Pass so hopefully more people play it”, Spencer said on a Mixer live stream. “It’s a game that should be played from our friends at Remedy. We love Remedy.”
Remedy's Control launched on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One last August. The game went on to garner quite a lot of positive acclaim and won several awards, including Game of the Year awards.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus was developed by Machine Games and published by Bethesda Softworks in 2007. It's a sequel to Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. The New Colossus was also received pretty warmly for its story and gameplay. This is partially thanks to the id Tech 6 engine and Vulkan API, which enables the game to run at a solid 60fps.
Finally, Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the conclusion to the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy, and was released in 2018.
With these three new games arriving on PS Now, subscribers have a total of 11 games to enjoy. All PS Now games available for this month are listed below:
