The fourth major update for Summoners Fate is here. This patch implements an improved combo system where players can deal huge amounts of damage without wasting their units’ command.

For those who don’t know, Summoners Fate has a unique combo system triggered whenever an enemy is knocked adjacent to the player’s ally; positioning, after all, is very important in this game. Back then, this system would use a unit’s command for the turn, meaning that the particular unit becomes unusable until the player’s next turn comes.

In the newly improved version, the unit’s command is no longer used up. Instead, players can now combo attacks an unlimited number of times per turn, though the damage is halved to balance it out. Furthermore, units that already attacked during the same turn cannot initiate combo attacks.

Update 4 also introduces two new cards, namely Pied Pipe and Collar of Devotion. The former makes all of the player’s small animals loyal. The latter makes the next animal the player summons become loyal until resting at camp.

Patch Notes

AI
  • Increased the AI turn time limit from 60 seconds to two minutes as a temporary solution to allow players experiencing delayed slower AI processing to have enough time for AI to complete their turn before throwing a bug prompt.
  • Added a mechanism to track whether or not the AI boardstate is synced with the player.
  • Fixed bug #2204 where the AI locks up due to a null ability user on an action being simulated
BUG FIXES
  • Fixed another bug where the boss key/skeleton key wouldn’t drop
  • Fixed bug where lore couldn't be retrieved because it was in Mercenary Den by making it so that lore cannot be hidden on maps containing shop encounters.
  • Fixed bug where excess lore was appearing on the world map.
  • Fixed bug where fully looted rooms were still showing "ghost" icons of keys no longer there.
  • Fixed bug where Sibylla was buffing enemy units spawned at the beginning of encounters.
  • Added support to maintain persistence of status effects tagged with the "Keep" attribute (such as birthday hats) so that when the unit is defeated and revived with a raise dead spell, it still has its party hat. This is important for artifact cards that confer permanent abilities. It also fixes bugs where players would not get credit for the "Birthday Wish" achievement if the Birthday Boy is killed and resurrected using a Stone Ankh or Spirit Recall.
