It’s Monday, and for all you fans of the strategic Clash Royale mobile game, we’ve put together another set of the best decks for winning battles and moving to higher arenas. Last week we posted a set of decks that helped us move through Arenas two and three. This week’s focus is on best decks for arena 3, 4, and even breaking into arena 5. We’ve featured three decks sent to us by readers who are playing Clash Royale as well as a new deck we’ve made it to Spell City arena 5 with. We’ve also included a gameplay video to accompany our favorite deck so you can see the strategy used to win with the deck. Check out all four of the new decks featured below.

If you are just getting started playing Clash Royale, we do have a beginner’s strategy guide to help you get more wins, or to see last week's best decks, click here. Also, for all earlier best decks and strategy posts, check out our Clash Royale tagged posts, here.

NEW: Best Clash Royale Decks: 5 Good Arena 4 - 7 Decks For Winning Trophies After Latest Update

Best Clash Royale Decks And Strategies For Using Them (Arenas 3-5)

Deck #1 – iDigitalTimes’ Favorite

  • Spear Goblin – (Level 6+)

  • Arrows – (Level 5+)

  • Musketeer (Level 4+)

  • Giant – (Level 3+)

  • Goblin Hit (Level 4+)

  • Baby Dragon – (Level 2+)

  • Skeleton Army (Level 1+)

  • Witch (Level 2+)

Average Elixir: 4.0

** A Modification of this deck that has proven even more effective but slightly higher elixir level (4.3) is exchanging Arrows for the Balloon. We've reached 1500 so far with this exchange.

Strengths of this Deck:

  • We love this deck because it has a balanced elixir level and combines a variety of different types of cards to help combat all kinds of attacks and all the cards are from Arena 1 or below. We’ve managed to make it to Arena 5 (Spell Valley) with this deck.

  • A key part of this deck is the goblin hut. Anytime you have some extra elixir, and can throw one down, place it near or in the same location as the last one.

  • Be patient with this deck. It’s not a quick winner. You will win most battles with this deck in the last few seconds of the game or in overtime. The reason is, it takes a little time to build enough momentum. The key is to try not to overreact to attackers. Weigh how much damage they can actually do, vs. how much elixir they’ve used to do it, before you decide to send out defenders. The spear goblin huts help to keep a lot of damage at bay.

  • Send out mainly your air and range cards. While I have a giant in the lineup, I don’t use him much. Most all the cards are air or range fighters and this can help a lot in avoiding attacks or countering attacks by heavy tank troops.

  • Try to keep a swarm in your line up for gobbling up those fast or heavy attackers. I love the skeleton army because of how easily it eats up Hogs, Giants, Prince’s and Balloons. Just make sure the attacker has made it across to your side of the field, and if possible, drop them when the attacker is in range of one of your towers so that the tower can aid in the attack.
