Best Clash Royale Decks, Battle Strategies Tips and Tricks (Arenas 4-6)

Deck #1 – Submitted by Yash Keni

Deck #1 - submitted by Yash Keni
  • Spear Goblin (Level 6)
  • Barbarians (Level 6)
  • Mini P.E.K.K.A. (Level 4)
  • Bomber (Level 7)
  • Zap (Level 4)
  • Witch (Level 1)
  • Baby Dragon (Level 1)
  • Skeleton Giant (Level 2)

Average Elixir: 3.9

Highest Arena Reached : Arena 6 - Builder’s Workshop

Deck Strategy/Explanation

“This is a well-built deck, it's has a great synergy. I almost win every match with this,” says Keni. “Always play defense! Countering the enemy should be your top priority. For example, if the enemy drops a Prince and you counter it with the Barbarians- and pair it up with a Witch. It's gonna be a great combo and the enemy will have less elixir to counter you.

Here are a few reasons he recommends this deck:

Zap - Cheap, but can take low elixir troops like goblins, spear goblins and skeletons.

Witch - Splash damage. A great combo with the giant skeleton and barbarians.

Spear Goblins - As distraction for both air as well as ground troops.

Barbarians - To counter hogs, prince, giants, and high HP troops. Also can be used as tanks for the witch.

Bomber - Splash damage. Since we have a lot of point targeting troops, the bomber along with those troops make a fantastic combo.

Giant skeleton - A tank or if the enemy has flooded your side with large number of troops, just deploy your giant skeleton and see the enemy troops vanish.

Baby dragon - Works very nice for both offence as well as defense.

Mini Pekka - If the enemy has 2 high HP troops and he drops at both the sides of the base, just drop the barbarians for one and mini Pekka for another.

  • Giant Skeleton (Level 2)
  • Xbow (Level 1)
  • Goblin Barrel (Level 2)
  • Baby Dragon (Level 1)
  • Skeleton Army (Level 2)
  • Prince (Level 1)
  • Inferno Tower (Level 4)
  • Witch (Level 2)

Average Elixir: 4.9

Highest Arena Reached: Arena 6 - Builder’s Workshop

Deck Strategy/Explanation

“First you have to wait until they use a high elixir card such as a (Prince, Giant, Skeleton etc.), says JMBGaming. “Then, you counter attack it with a Witch or Skeleton Army. After that you check and see if your opponent has an Arrow storm. If he doesn't then you’re in luck. If he/she does then you have to use a second strategy.”

Strategy If Opponent Has No Arrow Storm

If he/she doesn't have an Arrow storm, flood him with the witch and skeleton army every chance you get and then just repeat.

Strategy If Opponent Does Have An Arrow Storm

You can use everything else accept Skeleton army (if it's for defense) or the Witch at certain points in the battle. You would have to rush his base by placing down Xbow and inferno tower nearly at the same time where the Xbow's range is just enough to reach the crown tower then you let loose all your troops and watch the show. Don't get too hyped up. I have lost with this deck just by common mistakes and bad placing. It's not always in the deck. You have to have skill too.

  • Minions (Level 7)
  • Minion Horde (Level 6)
  • Barbarians (Level 6)
  • Tesla (Level 6)
  • Arrows (Level 6)
  • Bomber (Level 6)
  • Prince (Level 2)
  • Hog (Level 4)

Average Elixir: 4.1

Highest Arena Reached: Arena 5 - Spell City

Deck Advantages/Strategy/Explanation

This deck favors a strong defensive strategy. The troops that fight off the opposing troops tend to take a little off the opposing towers.

You can push offense on this deck with the Prince, Hog Rider, and Minion Horde. You can substitute minions for spear goblins for a cheaper range defense.

  • Barbarians (Level 6)
  • Barbarian Hut (Level 4)
  • Giant (Level 3)
  • Witch (Level 2)
  • Tesla (Level 5)
  • Spear Goblin (Level 6)
  • Goblin Hut (Level 4)
  • Rage Spell (Level 1)

Average Elixir: 4.5

Highest Arena Reached: Arena 4 - P.E.K.K.A’s Playhouse

Deck Advantages/Strategy/Explanation

“First, you need to build up at least 2 defenses (you can choose from Tesla, or either hut). If Tesla, it should be placed in the center of your towers so enemy's are drawn to it and get attacked from all three towers,” says Leader.

“Then let your elixir build all the way up, and drop a Giant, followed immediately by a Witch, and then Spear Goblins -- preferably on the side with the least attackers. Repeat the process and build your defenses back up and use the same attack combo.”

“You may have to sacrifice a tower, sometimes,” said Leader, “but if you are patient you can destroy a side tower and the main tower fairly quickly if all those troops are released at the same time.”

Use the portion to boost your trips once near the tower.

Clash Royale Deck #5 – Submitted by Sami Rageb ( pander0n)

Clash Royale Deck #5 -
Clash Royale Deck #5 - submitted by Sami Rageb
  • Prince (Level 2)
  • Valkyrie (Level 4)
  • Minions (Level 6)
  • Skeleton Army (Level 1)
  • Mini P.E.K.K.A. (Level 4)
  • Balloon (Level 1)
  • Musketeer (Level 3)
  • Mini Dragon (Level 1)

Average Elixir: 4.1

Highest Arena Reached – Arena 4

Deck Advantages/Strategy/Explanation

  • Overall high hit points
  • Adaptable to the match. Only 1 card that can’t be used on defense (balloon), every other card plays both offense/defense
  • Multiple cards that aren’t 1-time use in delivering area damage (like a spell)
  • 4.1 elixir average is relatively expensive but not so expensive that you can’t recover / adapt
  • First attack is usually a combo of balloon plus some ground troop. Ground troop will absorb the tower hits (and engage with ground troops too) and this combo almost always delivers 50% damage or more to 1 st tower. If the player isn’t able to adapt fast enough or has the wrong cards available, this attack destroys the first tower.

Deck disadvantages:

  • Given the lack of 1-time area spells, anyone that simply floods the map with a ton of low-cost units can overrun this deck.
  • This deck favors a more offensive strategy than defensive one.
  • This deck is not for players that don’t understand the strengths/weaknesses of their cards (and opponent’s cards). Players must know how easy a Mini P.E.K.K.A gets distracted or that arrows make short work of it. Also, this deck is untested against decks that have more advanced capabilities like elixir pumps.
