Stellaris: The Galactic Paragons Now Live

The Galactic Paragons now live on Stellaris. This latest expansion allows players to strengthen their empires by fine-tuning and customizing the leaders of the empire and make the most of what their characteristics can offer.

Galactic Paragons expands the Council mechanic while introducing leaders with specialized abilities. The expansion also adds extra features and lets players control how they invest in and strengthen their leaders to guide the empire and influence the future of the galaxy.

Features of this new expansion include:

  • Unique Council Roles
    • Specialized roles and benefits are included in the expansion to expand upon the new Council Mechanics in the game.
    • Find dozens of unique council roles based on the civics and government types.
    • Unlock additional positions as the empire evolves.
  • New Dynamic Leaders
    • Recruit, improve, and follow the leaders of the empire through the ages.
    • Players can shape them by picking their traits, selecting their veteran class, and guiding them towards their destiny.
  • Meet Galactic Heroes
    • Attract paragons of renown to the council.
    • Unique leaders having their own art, events, and stories may join the empire and bring their own benefits to the government.
    • Discover four Legendary Paragons with intricate event chains and unique mechanics.
  • New Traditions, Civics, and More
    • Players can experience the new "Under One Rule" Origin which tells the story of the leader who founded their empire.
    • Eight new Civics focused on leadership.
    • 12 new Veteran Classes.
    • Hundreds of new Leader Traits.
    • Two new Tradition Trees, giving players new edicts and improved leaders.
    • New ships, art, and story content.

New Update

Launching alongside the new expansion is the free 3.8 "Gemini" update which includes a large number of quality-of-life updates. There are also two multiplayer game modes available in open beta:

  • Cooperative PvE
    • Allows players to join together to take on enemies as a single empire.
    • This more relaxed gaming environment is good for those learning how to play the game or wanting to divide responsibilities of empire management.
  • Competitive PvP
    • Allows groups of players to join opposing empires and fight against each other.
    • This division of duties may be less overwhelming and reduce barriers to entry for non-competitive players.
    • For those who are more competitive, empires can also be locked and require a password.

Galactic Paragons is priced at $14.99. Stellaris is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
