Nintendo Switch Online: Free 'Pokopia' Giveaway For Subscribers

Nintendo of America shared a new post on X, which announces the latest giveaway for subscribers of the Nintendo Switch Online service for "Pokémon Poké Ball."

The giveaway under the Nintendo Switch Online service comes in the form of "Pokémon Pokopia" icons featuring the famous creatures found in the game, as well as the human Ditto avatars that represent the players in the game.

There are four waves of the "Pokopia" icons spread out over around four weeks, with each one featuring the special profile picture:

  • Wave 1 (available from March 4 to 11) - Ditto and Pikachu (Standard version)
  • Wave 2 (available from March 11 to 18) - Peakychu and Professor Tangrowth
  • Wave 3 (available from March 18 to 25) - Mosslax and Male "Pokemon Pokopia" Avatar
  • Wave 4 (available from March 25 to April 1) - Smeargle and Female "Pokemon Pokopia" Avatar

How to Redeem the Free 'Pokémon Pokopia' Item

Users may easily redeem the icons on their Nintendo Switch consoles as long as they have an active Nintendo Switch Online membership in both standard and the + Expansion Pack tiers.

To redeem, head on over to the Nintendo Switch Online app and choose Missions & Rewards. Select the icon you wish to get and use your My Nintendo Platinum Points to redeem the special icons featuring "Pokémon Pokopia" characters.

While users need to spend their My Nintendo Platinum Points to get the special icons, these points may be easily collected when completing missions in-game as outlined on the Switch Online app.

Users who are only using the OG Switch lineup may also redeem these icons as long as they have an active Nintendo Switch Online membership and enough Platinum points.
