Puzzle-platformer games have become popular among gamers through the years, and one very well-known title in this genre is "Little Nightmares."
For fans of the title, the wait for the new game is over as a third installment was released a couple of days ago. But the question is, did the fans like the game?
Here's what you have to know about "Little Nightmares III."
'Little Nightmares III'
Released on October 10, 2025, "Little Nightmares III" developed by Supermassive Games and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Windows.
The story of the game follows two characters named Low and Alone, who are trying to navigate through The Nowhere.
Like the first two games, players will encounter a series of puzzles that need to be solved.
'Mixed on Steam'
As of press time, "Little Nightmares III" has more than 11,000 user reviews on Steam, which has classified them under "Mixed."
"The game feels like they were trying too hard to capture the magic of the first two without thinking about what made them good, but at the same time it feels like it's trying to be something entirely different," CEOofClownery said in a Steam review.
"The combination of these two somehow creates a forgettable and utterly confusing experience," CEOofClownery added.
"I feel like 'LN3' had too much to live up to, and when it didn't, people got upset," OtterWithATophat said in a separate review. "It's a great game when viewed by itself, but compared to its two predecessors, it can be seen as lacking."
2.8 Stars on Google Reviews
"Little Nightmares III" is not doing so well over at Google Reviews as it has a rating of 2.8 stars as of writing.
"'Little nightmares 3' is disappointing," pigpanther124 said in a Google review. "It's the slop they collected from the leftovers of the first 2 games that Tarsier NAILED, stamped with the mark of the 'third game of the franchise' when it should really be advertised as a particularly well-made fan DLC."
"As a huge 'LN' fan, especially 'LN 2,' this game was boring, disappointing, and seemed to just copy and paste things from the first two games as a nod to them since they wouldn't be continuing the story of the first two," Destiny Thompson said in a separate Google review.
"It wasn't necessarily a bad game, but it wasn't good either," Thompson added.
