Square Enix Releases Final Trailer for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

At the most recent State of Play, Square Enix released the final trailer for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. It offers a quick look at the legendary adventure that's awaiting everyone.

This latest trailer shows the party in pursuit of Sephiroth along with the fates that they need to overcome if they are to save the planet. We get to see some of the newly imagined locales and the breathtaking landscapes you can explore the game. Then there's the sneak peek at the various minigames that include the likes of 3D Brawler, Chocobo Racing, and G-Bike. The trailer also shows us that some of the beloved characters are returning like the long-gone SOLDIER hero Zack Fair, the thrill-seeking SOLDIER 3rd Class, and the electrifying Turk Reno and Roche.

Gameplay Video

The State of Play didn't just give us a final trailer since it also released a gameplay video. It revealed the unique yet interconnected regions of the game as they were displayed on the zoomed-out World Map. This video also gave us a look at the different ways to travel within the game like chocobos, the Tiny Bronco plane, and even the desert buggy. There's a lot to be excited about before the game launches and you can watch that video here.

New Content

Square Enix also revealed new assets players can look forward to when the game launches. There are the new renders for the characters that include the martial arts mentor Zangan and wizened sage Geisel Bugenhagen. We also get an early look of the Synergy Abilities from unique pairings of Cloud and Yuffie or Aerith and Barret. You can check it out here.

The first game of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy project was Final Fantasy VII Remake which was released in 2020. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth features a new story and offers a standalone adventure that's set across a vast and vibrant planet. It has Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith and Red XIII escape from the dystopian city of Midgar and go out into the wide world beyond. They're on a mission to hunt down Sephiroth, a haunting figure from Cloud's past who's bent on ruling the planet. These unlikely group of heroes join forces with new companions that include the spirited ninja operative Yuffie and the wisecracking and feline-shaped robot Cait Sith.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is launching worldwide on February 29 and to be available exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
