Rainbow Six Siege is entering the second season of its fifth year and Ubisoft revealed some interesting new operators that will be joining the fight. Rainbow Six Siege’s new operation, Steel Wave, will be fully announced on May 18.

In a new teaser trailer, Ubisoft has shown off the two new operators, Ace and Melusi. Ace seems to be the new Norwegian hard breacher, who is capable of destroying reinforced walls. In the teaser he seems to be holding an AK-12. Melusi seems to be the new South African operator. Her ability is to gather intel using echolocation and will bring a big change to the meta in Rainbow Six Siege.

The new season also appears to include the latest Elite skin set. This time Ubisoft is releasing new skin for Echo. You can watch the new elite animation over here. The elite animation seems to bring out Echo’s personality and shows off his Japanese vibes. But the rumored Buck elite is still in the works and players might have to wait a while before they can see it live.

All the details for Operation Steel Wave, including the new reworks, operators, maps and everything else, will be revealed via a Twitch livestream on May 18. This time around you won’t be able to see the reveal of the season during the majors, as everything has been canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. You will be able to try out all the new Y5S2 content on the technical test server as soon as Ubisoft reveals all the new content for the upcoming operation on Twitch.

Rainbow Six Siege is available to play on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

So what do you think? Are you excited to see more of the new content from Operation Steel Wave in Rainbow Six Siege? What other operators are you expecting in the near future? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
