Rainbow Six Siege's post-launch content is going strong even in its fifth year. Ubisoft recently announced Year 5 Season 2 of Siege via their official Twitter account. But by announce, I mean there is a short four-second teaser video which only shows the name Steel Wave. The teaser also shows two Operators and some debris. Check out the tweet yourself.

No other information about the new season was revealed, however, we do know a couple of things. Back when Year 5 was announced, it was revealed that the second season will get the first Casual map rework. Your go-to terrorist hunt map, House, is getting a rework. The rework is not as drastic as Themepark, but it will include a couple of changes to make the map a little bit more dynamic.

Steel Wave is also the last Season to get two operators. After that, we will only get one operator per season. The Operators are from South Africa and Norway, but we don’t know what their abilities are yet. Previous rumors suggest that one of them will be a hard breacher like Thermite and Hibana. That should explain all the debris in the teaser.

There is also a good chance that we will finally get the long-awaited Tachanka rework. Our Lord will finally get the true power he deserves. Just like every other Season, Steel Wave includes a brand new Battle Pass that will reward you with several cosmetic items. As per usual, the Battle Pass will have two paths, free and premium. The best content will be locked behind the Premium path. Sometime after Season 2 is released, we will also get one Event that will act as a break from your normal Ranked sessions. There will also be an Arcade Event which will act as a mini Event.

More information about the new season should only be a couple of days away. Steel Wave will go live on the Test Server before hitting the main build.

So what do you think? Are you excited about the new Season? Do you think the House rework was a good call? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
