Game Freak, the developers of the Pokémon franchise, have begun advertising for two new job listings that suggest a Pokémon game for the Nintendo Switch is coming.

The first job listing was first discovered on March 18 by Serebii’s Joe Merrick and eventually picked up and translated by Siliconera. Here’s Merrick’s tweet with a rough summary of one of the job listings.

According to Siliconera, the listing specifically mentions under Maya’s part that they should have experience working on models at the level of Wii U and PS Vita.

The second job listing says Game Freak seeks someone who can consult with the programmers and work on assisting with data. The job listing also adds this little tidbit: “Here’s a chance to work on the development of a globally popular RPG!”

Game Freak plus globally popular RPG equals Pokémon . Both positions will last until May 2018 at the latest.

Now while job listings come and go, news of a Pokémon game coming to the Switch were rampant leading up to the January Nintendo Switch presentation. A rumored title known as Pokémon Stars is supposed to be a third version of the Gen 7 games.

While these listings could mean a brand new Pokémon game for the Switch, a Switch port of Pokken Tournament or something else entirely, it’s clear Pokémon is coming to the Nintendo Switch soon.

So what do you think of a Pokémon game coming to the Nintendo Switch? What’s your guess to what the job listings are for? Sound off in the comments section below.
