Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom - The Prince's Edition is finally available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. In addition to the full game, this version also comes with The Tale of a Timeless Tome and The Lair of the Lost Lord expansions, and the Prince's Equipment Pack along with an additional DLC.
The game is a sequel to Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and tells the story of Evan Pettwhisker Tildrum. He was once promised the throne of Ding Dong Dell but that was lost due to a coup. The young Evan and his friends now journeys to establish a new kingdom as well as unite the world under the reign of happiness.
While the game allows players to freely control Evan, they can also freely control the other characters in the party in battles. During battles, players can use magical abilities while getting help from Higgledies, useful elemental creatures for casting spells and sources of other combat bonuses.
The two expansions included in The Prince’s Edition offer new quests along with new items and new equipment. Each expansion also introduces one dungeon each.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom was first released in March 2018 on PC and PlayStation 4. The game received generally positive reviews and sold more than 900,000 copies worldwide by May 2018. It was later released for Nintendo Switch in September 2021.
