Good news for console players of Neverwinter. You don’t have to wait too long to try the new Dragonbone Vale content. Instead of February 8, this module is now coming out February 1 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

In Dragonbone Vale, the Sword Coast is being threatened by the evil lich Valindra Shadowmantle. Joining her is the Cult of the Dragon, which brings with them an ancient artifact having the potential to amplify their rituals of undeath. It’s now up to the heroes to work with the wizard Elminster Aumar to put a stop to whatever the Cult is planning and reclaim the Dragonbone Vale.

Module Features

Here are some of the features players can expect with this new module:

  • Grappling Hook Mechanics
    • These now allow players to grapple with a grappling hook to specific and designated spots. For now, this is limited to Dragonbone Vale.
  • Faction Reputation System
    • Finishing faction-specific quests allows players to build reputation with each of the four factions. They can then unlock different rewards and features, such as faction cosmetics and companion gear.
  • The Crown of Keldegonn Trial
    • This new 10-player trial has heroes fight against Valindra and the dracolich Palhavorithyn atop the dwarven ruins of Keldegonn.
  • Scaleblight Mythal (Epic Adventure)
    • This story culminates in the Sword Mountain’s Scaleblight Summit region. Members of the Shield of the North Alliance need to assault the location of the great ritual and stop the Cult of the Dragon from invoking the Rite of the Dracolich to bring undeath to all dragons.
    • This content is coming to consoles in March.

PC Version

Dragonbone Vale became available two weeks ago through a new patch, which also brings various changes. One big change is the ones done for refinement and enchantment systems. The reason is that some players revealed that the enchantments weren't meaningful enough in stats and item level. So, gears no longer have enchantment slots. Read more about what the new patch brought to the game here.

Neverwinter is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
