If you are new to the world of Witcher and just started watching the Netflix series, it is quite easy to get lost in all the backstory. Fortunately, Netflix has come to your aid with an extremely helpful and slick interactive map. The map accompanies a timeline, which can be easily browsed to clear most of your confusion. Even if you're someone who is following along perfectly, you should consider exploring this marvelous map.

The Netflix series reveals information about what's taking place in bits, hints, and pieces, but this map gives you brief references on The Witcher's plot. You can also find information such as Yennefer and Geralt's age. Both these lovers have a 32-year difference. Geralt is believed to be 103 years old when the series comes to an end and Yennefer is said to be 72, 'magically!'

The interactive map contains four separate timelines that follow Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, and history. In the first season of The Witcher, viewers got dumped with loads of lore to keep the narrative exciting, but at the same time confusing the heck out of many. This timeline gives you a clear picture of when certain historical events take place. The timeline also mentions in which episodes these events take place.

Clicking on the timeline takes you to a place on the map that lights up with green, blue, yellow, or white lights corresponding to the track colors in the timeline. The timeline also makes a mention of the characters involved in the event. You can also see the changing weather that depends on the events that you're clicking and several other cool effects.

Scrolling to the far left of the historical timeline shows drops of ink falling on the map, depicting the monsters and magical events occurring in the world. Scrolling to the far right of the timeline shows the map burning away revealing a message, "Va'esse deiradh aep eigean, va'esse eigh faidh'ar", which is Elder speech that can be translated as "something ends, something begins." Unfortunately, we won't be seeing the beginning of something new in the world of Witcher until next year.
