Empire of Sin is set to release its first premium expansion this November 18. Titled Make it Count, it’s priced at $14.99 and available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Arriving on the same day as the expansion is a free update, which seems to be the largest the game has seen.

In a statement, Romero Games Co-Founder Brenda Romero shared that ever since the game was launched, they have been looking for ways to expand it. They have been working since last year, and Romero said that she hopes players would see the game in new ways with the new expansion and new update.

Features of the Make It Count expansion include:

  • Maxim Zelnick
    • A boss who can cook the books just as well as he takes out the competition.
    • “Bolster the Ranks” ability allows Maxim to call in two reinforcements during combat.
    • The “Persuader” boss weapon is a submachine gun that spits bullets faster than Zelnick can spit words.
  • Loan Shark
    • Money lending officially comes to Chicago and brings in some unique events.
  • The Fixer
    • A gangster who specializes in making problems disappear.
    • Fixers can bribe their way out of certain combat scenarios.
    • However, when things get ugly, their combat ability Caltrops is a good way to disrupt enemy movement and allow better plan fights.
  • New Weapons
    • MK VI Revolver
    • Coach Gun
    • STA 22
    • Lighting Carbine
    • RSC M17
  • New Legendary Weapons
    • Persuader
    • Golden Gewehr 98
  • New Missions
    • 20 new missions
    • Includes Gangster personal missions and side missions
  • New Loan Shark building interior and Improvement Buildings

As mentioned, there is also free content courtesy of the Free Precinct update. Key features include:

  • Precincts
    • Subdivisions of neighborhoods controlled by players and other factions.
    • Players need to secure Supply Lines between connecting precincts to ensure that supplies and payments are flowing smoothly.
  • Depots
    • Depots are well-guarded and have reinforcements to offer longer and more tactical combats.
    • The risk is bigger as well as the rewards attached to it.
    • Each depot is the central control center for a given precinct.
    • Claim the depot to claim the precinct.
  • Paths To Victory and Win Condition
    • The Buy Out
      • A diplomatic win condition that allows players to eliminate another faction by paying them off. The targeted faction must be under player protection for three months.
    • Players must be at peace with the targeted faction with a faction rating of at least +300.
  • Chi-Town Mogul
    • Claim victory by owning 40% of all rackets, with each of them upgraded to the maximum level. Players still have the option to continue playing after seeing this victory screen.
  • Improved Police
    • Handle the cops by managing the Police Activity number, a precinct-wide value representing the amount of police presence on the streets.
    • Police Activity levels are affected by numerous factors including bribery, the strength (or weakness) of diplomatic relations, and the vice investment level.
  • New Depot and Safehouse interiors, as well as Gun Store, Mob Lawyer, and Boxing Club Improvement Buildings.
