Meet the Characters
For Klonoa: Door to Phantomile, there are three characters that players can look forward to. There’s the Dark King Ghadius, supposedly imprisoned in ice for all time, he has since managed to free himself and is now seeking vengeance for his confinement.
Next is Joka, who is Ghadius’s loyal underling. He’s always trying to win the approval of his master and more often than not, tends to blunder when doing so.
Then there is Lephise, the legendary songstress. She can save the world through her Song of Rebirth. She was once captured by Ghadius and was able to flee from his clutches via airship. Unfortunately, she ended up crash-landing on Breezegale’s Bell Hill and was abducted once more.
Moving to Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil, players are bound to meet Leorina. This sky pirate is after Klonoa’s ring and wants to use it to summon the Fifth Bell to plunge the world into chaos. She is cool, cunning, and collected. Another character is Leorina’s loyal floating sidekick Tat. She’s never far from her master and has a streak of evil in her.
Explore the Locales
In Klonoa: Door to Phantomile , we look at four locations and the first one is Breezegale. This is Klonoa’s home village and gets its power from a massive windmill. At the back of this windmill is a mine where luminescent gems can be gathered. There’s also a hill above that where the “Wind of Time” blows by each noon and evening, ringing the bell on the peak.
The next location is the Forlock Forest, which has a massive tree in the center that climbs skyward. On top of this tree is the house of chieftess Granny which features a bunch of mechanical contraptions.
The third is the Jugpot Kingdom which is the one responsible for supplying the entire Phantomile with water. Finally, there is the Coronia Shrine which floats in the skies of Phantomile.
In Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil, one of the locales is the Joilant Kingdom of Joy. It's named as such since the whole kingdom is in fact a giant theme park. Meanwhile, the Volk Kingdom of Discord is where the flames of war are always burning. The third is the Mira-Mira Kingdom of Indecision, a kingdom of snow and ice.
