Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has already dropped a lot of new content for Season One. Even more is coming though, as a new game mode for Gunfight has been released along with the debut of Drop Zone for Multiplayer. Both modes are available starting December 24 at 1:00 p.m. EST until December 31 at 1:00 p.m. EST.
As part of the holiday celebrations, Modern Warfare is also offering players the chance to earn Double XP and Double Tiers. Be quick, as this only lasts until December 27 at 1:00 p.m. EST.
Let's start with the new mode for Gunfight. This is actually available for the holiday-themed map of Winter Docks. Here players can enjoy a classic snowball fight. That's right, in Snowfight players are going to have to eliminate opponents using only snowballs instead of weapons.
If you think that's exciting, then be prepared for Drop Zone as it arrives in Multiplayer. This mode offers a rather unique approach to gaming and rewards players more than what standard game modes do. In Drop Zone, the only way for players to earn Killstreaks is to hold the drop zone and have a Care Package delivered to their location.
By now you've probably known that the new operator Nikto has officially arrived. This newest operator came with the Nikto Operator Bundle. You can read more about that here.
This week a new Featured Bundle is being offered, dubbed the "Mad Chemist." At 2400 CP, this bundle ups the already menacing look of Krueger with a gas mask. It also includes the ‘Final Countdown’ watch, two tier skips, the ‘Moral Argument’ weapon blueprint, and a Legendary handgun weapon blueprint for the ‘Volatile’, among many others.
For those who have yet to give the game a try, the Battle Pass Bundle is a big help as it instantly unlocks a host of items and Operator challenges along with the opportunity to earn 1300 CP should you complete the stream.
Nikto arrived courtesy of an update released on December 18. The update also introduced the Shipment and Vacant maps along with Winter Docks, the themed map for Docks. Playlists have also been updated to include Vacant, Shipment, and Cranked. Gunfight also made a return with the patch and the new "Strongbox" Special Operation went live.
