If you’ve always wanted to play a platform fighting game, but don’t have access to consoles, then here is some good news. Brawlhalla announced that it is set to arrive to mobile devices on the App Store and Google Play, for free. You don’t have to wait too long, as it’s going to be launched on August 6.

Brawlhalla was first released for the PC and the PlayStation 4 in October 2017. It was later released for the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch by November 2018. Brawlhalla offered full cross-play across all platforms by 2019. The game is free-to-play and makes use of the freemium business model.

If you’re familiar with Super Smash Bros. then you should have an idea of how Brawlhalla is played. Just in case you’re unfamiliar, the goal of this fighting game is to knock your opponent off the stage.

Since its release, there have already been 50 Legends (Brawlhalla's name for characters) released for players to choose from. While there are original characters, Brawlhalla is also known for its interesting crossovers. These include the SummerSlam Crossover where players could play as WWE superstars like The Rock, John Cena, Becky Lynch, and Xavier Woods. Read more about that here.

Then there was the crossover with Steven Universe which let players choose to fight not only as the Crystal Gems, but even as Stevonnie. The latest crossover was with none other than the Omnitrix wearing hero Ben Tennyson, better known as Ben 10. Get to know more about that here.

You can pre-register for the mobile version of Brawlhalla here.

Introducing the latest Legend with a new weapon

Earlier we mentioned that there are already 50 Legends available. The latest one was actually released just last week and it’s none other than Jaeyun. He joins the roster permanently swinging his greatsword. This new weapon is all set to introduce a new mechanic to the game where in grounded light attacks a player can enter into a bridge stance and follow this with Closer stance in order to prepare for combo attacks to the opponent.

His stats include 6 Strength, 5 Dexterity, 5 Defense, and 6 Speed. He also has something special as he brings with him three new skins which are the Hanbok Jaaeyun, Gilded Glory Jaeyun, and Death Jester Jaeyun.

Jaeyun arrived with Patch 4.03, which you can read about here.
