WWE's second-biggest show of the year, SummerSlam, is scheduled to take place this weekend on August 12 in Toronto, Canada, but thanks to Brawlhalla's limited-time SummerSlam event, you can get a taste of the action that awaits you as early as today. Starting August 8, the Brawlhalla Special SummerSlam event goes live, along with its new game mode and four new, but familiar, playable characters.

In Brawlhalla's SummerSlam-themed event, players will be able to play as, with, or against four WWE Superstars. Joining the Brawlhalla roster are Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, John Cena, Becky Lynch, and Xavier Woods. Each of these characters will be available for 300 Mammoth Coins, and will remain available after purchase even after the special SummerSlam event ends. Alongside the new playable characters, Brawlhalla will also be launching a brand-new game mode for free. Entitled Brawldown, the new game mode features a wrestling ring, breakable items, and rope physics for an authentically chaotic SummerSlam experience.

For a clearer picture of how these WWE Superstars are going to look, feel, and play in-game, here are the official character descriptions for each of the new characters:

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is an Epic Crossover for Sentinel – Signature attacks include a flaming bull, lava, and magma rocks.

John Cena is an Epic Crossover for Hattori – Signature attacks use the ring ropes, fog, and camera flashes.

Becky Lynch is an Epic Crossover for Gnash – Signature attacks include a giant green fire fist and a table to send her opponents flying.

Xavier Woods is an Epic Crossover for Bodvar – Signature attacks include his tag team partners, Kofi Kingston and Big E from The New Day.

Developed by Blue Mammoth and published by Ubisoft, Brawlhalla is a free-to-play fighting game that lets players choose from over 40 unique legends and play the way they want to play, whether it's casual single-player, intense co-op, or competitive online. Critically-acclaimed for its fun, casual appeal and deep, competitive gameplay, Brawlhalla is enjoyed by over 25 million players worldwide and is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. Brawlhalla's SummerSlam Event should be kicking off today, so make sure you don't miss out on the action!
