The rumors were true! Ubisoft has confirmed Assassin’s Creed: Rogue Remastered is real, and has also given us a release date: March 20.

We first heard about a remastered version of Assassin’s Creed: Rogue on three different Italian retail websites. Two of the websites listed mid-March release dates, which weren’t far off from the real March 20 date. All three listings also revealed a price point of around $35, but Ubisoft has yet to confirm that.

Assassin’s Creed: Rogue Remastered will feature improved textures, lighting and all the typical visual upgrades found in most remasters. There will also be 4K support for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X gamers. Assassin’s Creed: Rogue Remastered will come packed with all previously released DLC as well, including the “The Armor of Sir Gunn” and “The Siege of Fort de Sable” bonus missions. As an added perk, a new Bayek-inspired outfit from Assassin’s Creed Origins will be included.

Starring Shay Patrick Cormac, players explore the icy North Atlantic, the bustling streets of New York City and a river valley. Unlike previous Assassin’s Creed games, Rogue looks at the world from the other side, with Shay starting as an Assassin that ultimately falls to the Templar side of the war. This allows gameplay to change slightly, with Shay able to use special Templar abilities previously unseen in other games.

Naval battles return, but they play out slightly different than the ones in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. Because players are sailing in the cold North Atlantic, falling in the water will quickly deplete Shay’s life. There are also icebergs players must either avoid or ram into with an icebreaker, as well as new naval weapons and enemies who can board your ship.

Assassin’s Creed: Rogue Remastered will release for PS4 and Xbox One on March 20. Assassin’s Creed Rogue is already available on Steam for PC gamers.

So what do you think? Are you excited to play Assassin’s Creed: Rogue Remastered on your PS4 or Xbox One? Did you play it when it was originally released, or will this be your first adventure with Shay? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
