Apex Legends' Latest Character Loba Announced

The latest ‘Stories from the Outlands’ trailer has revealed the next character joining Apex Legends. The video, titled ‘Legacy of a Thief,’ shows off Loba Andrade, who will be joining the roster once Season 5 drops on May 12. She is the same girl who lost her parents thanks to Revenant in the Season 4 Assimilation trailer.

This was a cinematic trailer, so we don't see any actual gameplay. We do not know Loba's actual in-game abilities, but the trailer heavily emphasizes on her stealing. She is a pretty good thief so maybe her in-game abilities will have something to do with that. Can she steal enemy player armor? That’s what I want to know.

The announcement of Loba as the new legend shouldn’t come as a surprise. Loba became the next obvious candidate after we saw her parents get brutally murdered by Revenant. Respawn has been setting us all up for a cool revenge story. Above is the previous trailer if you need a refresher.

The title of the video, Legacy of a Thief, also gave away the well-known secret that Loba’s father, whom Revenant killed, was a thief who died because he stole from wrong people. Loba, following her father’s footsteps, also has become a thief. Now she is all grown up and looking for revenge against Revenant. It seems like our ruthless robot killer will have some competition.

Loba is not the only new addition we will be getting in Season 5. The season, titled Fortune’s Favor, will bring an all-new Battle Pass with over 100 exclusive items. Ranked Series 4 will also begin, but the most important addition is Quests. Quests are being introduced to the game where players will try to find several treasures. Developers are trying to add one more layer of depth in every match. We will have to wait for actual in-game footage for more information.
