Warframe: Angels of the Zariman Eximus Units Now Have a Spawn Cap in Hotfix 31.5.6

A new chapter coming soon.
A new chapter coming soon. Digital Extremes

Hotfix 31.5.6 for Warframe has brought a lot of interesting changes, particularly to the Eximus units in endless mission types. This update also brings other changes to the Angels of the Zariman expansion.

Eximus units in Warframe are special elite variants of standard enemies. They can be distinguished by the orange-red aura surrounding them. They’ve been reworked in the Angels of the Zariman expansion and now possess an Overguard that makes them immune to most crowd control effects.

Anyway, Hotfix 31.5.6 adds a scaling spawn cap to Eximus Units in various endless mission types, such as Void Flood, Void Armageddon, and Void Cascade. Basically, there’s now a limit to how many Eximus units can spawn based on squad size. For instance, a four-player squad can spawn a maximum of only four Eximus at a time. New ones will only spawn after previous ones were killed.

This update brings other changes as well. In Void Flood missions, for example, extraction is no longer mandatory after completing all bounty objectives. In other words, Void Flood missions can now continue indefinitely, should the players decide to stay.

Patch Notes

Zariman Mission Changes and Fixes
  • Improved the spawning consistency of large Vitoplast orbs in relation to their distance from Void Ruptures
  • Updated Armaments UI to use seconds instead of percentage in Void Armageddon missions
  • Fixed infinite loading screen when entering the Zariman elevator as Operator during Zariman Bounty
  • This resulted in having to abort the mission to escape the confines of the Elevator
  • Fixed the "Minimize Void Contamination" Bounty for Cascade (Use 4 Exolizers while keeping the corruption bar from going above 50%) failing instantly upon mission start on older PCs
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed Hydroid's Pilfering Swarm, Nekros Desecrate, and Khora's Pilfering Strangledome affecting Vitoplast drop amounts from enemies in Void Flood missions
  • Fixed Cascadia Overcharge’s Critical Chance buff applying to all weapons instead of just the Secondary, as intended
  • Fixed a noticeable seam in the torso/arm area of the Valkyr Carnivex Skin
  • Fixed some duplicated Blitz or Volatile Eximus effects on Clients
  • Fixed being able to sell Aeolak components for Ducats
  • Fixed Zariman ghosts standing still indefinitely after Host migration
  • Fixed anti-Warframe bubble not working on Clients in Void Cascade missions
  • Fixing Wisp and Titania’s animation sets not floating while having the Hespar equipped

It appears that this update has not yet fixed the energy problem experienced by some players not too long ago. Hopefully, DE resolves this issue soon.

Warframe Hotfix 31.5.6 is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
