What could be better than taking a day to relax listening to the soundtrack of your favorite video game? How about doing that but on vinyl? Ubisoft Music has partnered with Laced Records to offer fans the Far Cry 6 vinyl set.
The vinyl set has three discs, two of which have the game’s original score. The third one contains in-world music and radio tracks. Overall, there are 48 total tracks, with each LP having its own spined inner sleeve that fits within a wide outer sleeve. For the sleeves, it was Ubisoft Toronto that created the bespoke artwork.
The score of Far Cry 6 was composed by Pedro Bromfman. He was able to bring a history of studying the Caribbean and Latin American music to the game by layering Spanish guitar, Cuban tres, and Bolivian ronroco. He then put in a dark ambient and percussive foundation.
The music of Yara was composed by Hilario Duran and Ariel Contreras-Esquivel. For the Far Cry 6 team, the priority was to make sure that the music of the game genuinely represented the Latin American spirit. This resulted in collaborations with Latin and Afro-Latin artists, such as Gabylonia, Brooklyn Nitty Scott, Qbanoamerikano Piko, Diana Guentes, and El Chacal.

Far Cry 6 is set on Yara, a fictional Caribbean Island ruled by the dictator "El Presidente" Antón Castillo. He is raising his son Diego, who has the intention of following in his footsteps.
