The Toxoids Have Arrived to Stellaris: Console Edition

It's time for a high-risk and high-reward experience as the Toxoids officially make their presence felt in Stellaris: Console Edition. This is the latest Species Pack to be released for the game and is the first of three expansions coming out that's part of the sixth expansion pass.

The Toxoids are a hardy and industrial species which allow players to get a much needed advantage by gambling on the future of the planet. Get to enjoy try out new origins which include:

  • Knights of the Toxic God
    • In the depths of your homeworld, there are rumors going around of a true power that's said to be buried under the toxic sludge. Do you dare to dredge up the secrets of your past and potentially unleash them upon the galaxy?
  • Overtuned
    • Damn the Consequences and forge ahead with rampant genetic engineering. Prepare to experience powerful new species traits available only to Overtuned empires

Other features of the new Species Pack are:

  • New civics
    • When it comes to your immediate growth, everything is a resource.
      • These include debris and all the way to even the destruction of your very own population.
    • Through Toxic Baths you can grow your population through mutagene sludge.
    • Harvest debris and build projects with the Scavengers.
    • Improve efficiency by disregarding rules and regulations through the Relentless Industrialists.
  • New traits
    • Your species has evolved to thrive in infamy.
    • The unique traits of Noxious, Inorganic Breath, and Exotic Metabolism, may be repellent to other species but also they're also source of your power and wealth.
  • Cosmetics
    • Get your hands on new ships, species portraits, and even cityscapes.
      • Remind everyone in the galaxy that beauty is simply in the stinging and burning eye of the beholder
  • A new Toxoids advisor voice provides news and advice dripping with noxious sarcasm.

The Toxoids Species Pack is part of the Expansion Pass, available for $29.99. The other two expansions coming out in 2024 are Galactic Paragons and First Contact. Toxoids is available as a standalone and priced at $9.99.

By the way, launching alongside the Toxoids Species Pack is a free update which introduces a bunch of improvements and additions to the game.
