Rocket League now follows the live-service season model ever since it became free on Epic Games Store . A brand-new Season went live yesterday for all platforms. A new season also means a new Battle Pass, or should I say a Rocket Pass.
The new pass will give you the R3MX car on just the first level. So, getting that new car is quite easy. But keep in mind that the R3MX car uses the Hybrid hitbox.
The update brought a brand-new arena called Neon Fields. You can play this arena on Online Playlist, free play, and private matches. All eligible players will also get their Season 1 competitive rewards. So, be sure to check them out.
Season 2 features new tournaments, which will bring their own rewards and titles. Players’ population cap in tournaments gets increased dramatically. And that seems not enough, as developers promised higher caps in the future.
Season 2 added a lot of new content to Rocket League including Player Anthems. These are new cosmetics items that players can use to improve their experience. You can choose which music you want and when they'll play. For now, you can customize the soundtrack that triggers when scoring a goal, making an incredible save, and when you are the MVP.
You can enable Player Anthem from the Profile option. There are three options for Anthem. They are Always On, Matches Only, and Off. You can find them in Settings > Audio > Player Anthem. Currently, only five soundtracks are available to players, but I am sure more will come in the future.
These are a part of the new content. You can read the complete changelog of Season 2 from the official site.
