New details on the next big addition to Rocket League hit the web this week, courtesy of Psyonix, and we finally have a timeline for the in-game debut of the basketball mode teased by the Rocket League team earlier this month.

It’s been more than three weeks since Psyonix hopped on Twitter to tease the next major addition to its automotive soccer game. Little information was given at the time, with Psyonix promising to reveal more down the line, but it seems the wait is finally over. The studio published new footage from its upcoming basketball mode, calle Dunk House, on Tuesday night. Psyonix even offered a timeline for the new content’s debut, saying the studio expects Dunk House to debut sometime next month. Sadly, Dunk House won’t be ready for public consumption before the end of March Madness but this is still the textbook definition of a “better late than never” scenario.

Of course, we’re still missing a few key details. There’s currently no word on how many players can engage in Dunk House at once, leaving us unsure as to whether or not three-man teams will be necessary like they were for the Snow Day mode introduced last year. There’s also no word on whether or not Dunk House will be a limited-time offering, like the hockey mutator, or a permanent addition to Rocket League.

We’ve reached out to Psyonix, hoping to secure a bit more information about the upcoming Dunk House mode, and will update this post if/when we hear back from the Rocket League devs.
