Grim tidings appear to be making their way to Red Dead Online. Not to worry though, as this week everyone gets the chance to try out the first ever Halloween Pass. Available for 15 gold bars, the Halloween pass offers rewards across 20 ranks and is available until November 16.
The Halloween Pass offers:
- The skeletal Zavala Machete
- The petrifying Flayed Bison and colorful Painted Ram Horse Masks
- Three Halloween-themed emotes: Frighten, Scared and The Ripper
- Spooky Photo Studio Backgrounds like the Cemetery and Abandoned Mansion Backgrounds
- Post-Apocalyptic and Predator filters for the Advanced Camera
- A Gothic Décor Theme for your Moonshine Bar
- The Gallows Blindfold
- New Camp flags
While you can buy the Halloween Pass any time before it expires, there’s an added bonus if you buy it this week. The bonus is a free weapon component of your choice.
Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Club memberships are also returning to reward all players with free seasonal gifts. This time around there’s the Phantom Buck Horse Mask and the Noir Advanced Camera filter.
Red Dead Online also announced that all Halloween Pass Rewards up to a player’s current Pass Rank carry over and unlock instantly once the player buys the Halloween Pass through the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. catalogue or through the Progress menu. Everything players unlock during the Halloween Pass season is theirs to keep, even after the Halloween Pass expires.
So what else is happening this week? Players that encounter Madam Nazar are likely to notice that Halloween Masks are back, although they’re only available for a limited time. For those who manage to grab one, they get 10 Poison Throwing Knives as well as a reward for a free Ability Card of their choice. Meanwhile, all players that have undertaken a Role get to receive a reward of 2,000 Club XP along with an offer for 50% off a weapon from the Fence.
Other Halloween Offerings
Red Dead Online is also offering a new mode just in time for the Halloween celebration. This one is titled Dead of Night and has four teams fight for survival against each other and The Dead. Points are given for those who take out The Dead, though players can get higher points for taking out other players.
There’s also a Night Stalker mask which players can find and steal, which then gives them supernatural abilities for a competitive advantage. Players that complete a Round of Dead of Night over the next seven days can earn triple the usual payout. There’s also a care package which includes:
- Three Tomahawks
- 10 Volatile Fire Bottles
- 25 Incendiary Buckshot Slugs
Legendary Panthers
Over the past weeks, we’ve met some Legendary creatures and this week is actually no different. There’s two apex predators that have been said to be making the local swamps their home. The Bolger Glade has the Nightwalker Panther, which manages to blend into the surrounding vegetation. The Bluewater Marsh, meanwhile, appears to be the home to the albino Ghost Panther.
Players that bring the pelts of these Legendary creatures to Gus’ Trapper Store get to sell them and receive a good amount of coins. It also unlocks the Garment Sets, which can then be purchased.
Vitalism Studies
For this week as well, harvest Harrietum Officinalis and buy the Opposum Vitaism Studies Pamphlet in order to complete a transformational journey of an entirely different stripe. Players can also explore this week with free Fast Travel.
