This week in Red Dead Online, there’s news going around that dead bodies of poachers have been sighted in the Big Valley. It turns out that they have all been mauled by the Golden Spirit Bear. This is not surprising, as a lot of poachers have attempted to get this beast considering its excellent, thick, and golden-blonde coat.
Those who want to take the chance can start the Sighting Mission by talking to Harriet. Whether you take a sample of, or even kill, this bear, you get an offer of 50% off an Established or Higher Naturalist Item. If you bring its pelt to Gus’ Trapper Store, you get a lush and custom coat made from the fur.
Talking about Harriet, you can visit her and get the latest Vitalism Studies Pamphlet and begin gathering Harrietum Officinalis in order to complete your transformation to a wild boar.
So what else is happening? Well, those who play Red Dead Online from October 6 to October 12 get 5,000 Club XP. For this week as well, Free Roam Events, Showdowns, Races, A Land of Opportunities, and even Free Roam Missions all hand out double XP.
Players also get to earn twice the XP from Role Missions, which include Bounties, Trader and Moonshiner Sell Missions, Moonshiner Story and Bootlegger Missions, and Naturalist Sighting and Poaching Missions.
There’s also a little something extra for Naturalists this week. Those who want to try their hand at being a Naturalists get five Gold Bars off the price of Harriet’s Animal Field Guide. They also get a 40% discount on all Naturalist Role Items. Even Gus is offering 30% off the cost of assembly for those who buy Trinkets.
As with any weekly update, this one comes with offers for Prime Gaming subscribers. These are for Red Dead Online players who connect their Rockstar Games Social Club account with their Prime Gaming account. Rewards for this week include:
