"Resident Evil Requiem" still has another story DLC coming from Capcom, and while the Japanese gaming studio has released no information, an insider shared insights on when its possible release window would take place.
Capcom recently released the mini-game expansion called "Leon Must Die Forever," which delivers a fast-paced experience that turns up the challenges and difficulty a notch.
'Resident Evil Requiem' DLC Release Window Unveiled
According to insider Dusk Golem, a well-known insider, the upcoming DLC for "Resident Evil Requiem" will not arrive until after the newly announced "Resident Evil: Veronica" releases.
This past week, Capcom revealed that its next "Resident Evil" remake would be for "Resident Evil: Code Veronica," which is set to drop in 2027.
Reports have widely indicated that "Resident Evil: Veronica" will arrive in the early part of 2027. If that window holds, it means the "Resident Evil Requiem" DLC would feasibly not release until mid or late 2027 at the earliest.
The precedent for this kind of gap already exists within the franchise as the previous mainline entry in the series, "Resident Evil Village," whose base game arrived in May 2021, saw the "Shadows of Rose" DLC launching more than a year later, by October 2022.
Assuming that a similar span of time played out with "Requiem" and its story expansion, this would suggest that it is not going to become available until the second half of 2027.
Word in the grapevine is RE9 DLC is releasing after Resident Evil Veronica. To see how it plays out, but it's been murmured to be further out. https://t.co/upaulhPcTO

What to Expect From 'Resident Evil Requiem' DLC?
Capcom has confirmed that story content for "Resident Evil Requiem" is in development, but very little has been shared about what players can actually expect from it. According to ComicBook Gaming, no title, story details, or pricing have been revealed at this point.
What can be gathered from the pattern of previous DLCs in the series is that the expansion will likely add new playable sections with their own narrative thread, potentially introducing new characters or expanding on story beats left unresolved in the base game.
"Shadows of Rose" in "Resident Evil Village" focused on a supporting character and ran as a separate third-person horror story, which gives fans a reasonable frame of reference for what to expect in scope and format.
For now, fans waiting for the DLC will need to remain patient as Capcom's attention turns toward getting "Resident Evil: Veronica" across the finish line first.
Capcom Has A Lot in Store for 'Resident Evil'
In all likelihood, Capcom will spend the coming months focusing on the promotion and eventual release of "Resident Evil: Veronica." Once this new remake is let loose by the publisher, then fans might finally start to hear more about the DLC plans for "Resident Evil Requiem."
Beyond the remake and the DLC, there is also the matter of "Resident Evil 10" sitting further down the road. An insider previously reported that development has quietly begun on the next mainline entry. Claire Redfield is rumored to be the game's protagonist, and it is to be set in Japan.
Given that "Resident Evil: Veronica" is targeting 2027 and the Requiem DLC would likely follow after that, it could be several years before a full "Resident Evil 10" reveal surfaces publicly.
Capcom has not officially confirmed any of the details surrounding the DLC timing or the "Code Veronica" remake release window beyond the initial 2027 announcement.
