Rainbow Six Siege has more than 50 operators. So, expect the developer to continuously make small tweaks here and there to balance the game. Y6S2.2 is a mid-season update that will be released in the future and bring balancing changes to the game. Ubisoft has revealed the designer’s notes mentioning what you can expect from the update.

Alibi is getting a small buff where her ACS23 primary weapon gained 2.0x scope and the 1.5x scope removed. MX4 Storm SMG can now be equipped with 1.5x scope. Frost, on the other hand, lost her 1.5x scope for C1 primary weapon.

Tachanka received the most changes. His Proximity Alarm will be replaced by Deployable Shield. The total ammo of the Shumikha Launcher is now 14, up from 10. While the destruction effects of the DP-27 have been improved, which are detailed below.

Currently, Zofia has the highest pick rate in Platinum lobbies. Hence, a nerf is on the way. The recoil of her primary weapon, M762, is increased. Vertical recoil will be higher and horizontal spread will be more to the left. Long burst recoil will also start from the eighth bullet instead of the 12th.

The developer also revealed that the ongoing Nokk rework has been put on hold. So, it looks like she will stay on the bottom for a while. Two weapons have also received a buff. The damage of the TCSG-12 shotgun is increased to 63 from the previous 57, whereas, damage of the ACS12 shotgun is increased to 69 from the previous 59.

TACHANKA

  • Improved DP-27 destruction:
    • 0 to 4.99m: 0.3 radius hole per shot
    • 5 to 7.99m: 0.2 radius hole per shot
    • Beyond 8m: 0.2 radius hole after three shots

The complete changelog is mentioned on the official site as well, along with the developer's explanation.
