The last season of Year 5 of Rainbow Six Siege is finally here. Y5S4 Operation Neon Dawn went live today for all platforms. This season welcomes a new operator, a map rework, and tons of tweaks and changes. There's a plethora of bug fixes and improvements too.

The new season brings us our very first Thai Operator, Aruni. She has access to an entry denial gadget that cuts off rotation and makes it difficult for defenders to approach the site. She is also the only defending operator that has a DMR as her Primary weapon. You can choose between either P10 Roni or MK14 EBR. She is a two-speed two-armor operator, which means she is good for both roaming and holding sites. Her secondary gadgets include Barber Wire and Proximity Mine. Ubisoft released a story trailer for Aruni that you can watch below.

The next map to get a rework is Skyscraper. The famous dragon is now inside the building. Attackers can now rappel onto the roof, something impossible before.

The new season also brought balancing changes to several operators. Hibana can now choose how many X-Kairos breaching pellets to use, making her more dynamic. Jager received a massive nerf. His ADS now has a cool down mechanism of ten seconds after catching a projectile. This is a meta changing tweak, and we'll love to see how this change impacts the Esports scene. Echo’s Yokai drone lost its ability to stay invisible. Now, players can easily spot it, making him less of a threat.

Several changes arrived in this season and you can learn more about them here . But what’s interesting is that the update reduced the game's file size. From 83 GB to 55 GB on PC.

Rainbow Six Siege will release on next-gen consoles. Check out our previous article for more information.
