Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is inviting players to be part of its latest event “Showdown at Fort Truth.” The event started yesterday, July 2, and ends on July 16.

The event is set during the wildest days of the West where The Law finally catches up with the Graveltop Gang in a final showdown. On the side of The Law, we have a band of gunslingers who are dedicated to bringing justice: Erik “Maverick” Thorn, Eliza “Ash” Cohen, Emmanuelle “Twitch” Pichon, Vicente “Capitão” Souza, and Timur “Glaz” Glazkov. The Graveltop Gang, meanwhile, is composed of people who let their guns do the talking and don’t know what surrender means: Aria “Alibi” de Luca, Jalal “Kaid” El Fassi, Taina “Caveira” Pereira, Adriano “Maestro” Martello, and Julien “Rook” Nizan.

To celebrate the event, a new 3v3 Secure Area map was created. There is an important new rule though, players are only allowed to use the BOSG.12.2. and Magnum LFP86. The event also brings with it a limited HUD where health, ammo, and crosshairs are stripped.

Players are given the chance to see who can claim to be the fastest gun alive with the Showdown Throwdown. This contest started at 12:00 p.m. EDT on July 2 and ends at 12:00 p.m. EDT on July 9.

To join, players need to:

  • Play the new in-game event, Showdown.
  • Make big plays and record them.
  • Pick their team: #TheLaw or #GraveltopGang.
  • Upload and share gameplay clips of Rainbow Six on Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) by tagging @Rainbow6Game and using the hashtag of the team the players selected (#TheLaw OR #GraveltopGang).
  • Videos/gameplay footage should only include video, images and/or artwork from in-game captures or artwork created by you. The inclusion of images, artwork, or other assets owned/created by a third party (brand, company, or individual) are not eligible to win.

So what is in store for players? At the end of the competition, Rainbow Six Siege is going to round up all the submissions and have 10 winners selected to be gifted with the complete Showdown limited-event colletion. The criteria for selecting the winners are:

  • Quality of gameplay
  • Level of gameplay
  • Entertainment value

The official rules of the event can be viewed here.
