Rainbow Six Siege’s APAC North Division has just concluded its third playday of Stage 3. This is an important league as the first placer will qualify for the Six Major.
DAMWON Gaming vs. Fnatic
This match was played in Chalet, which is an attacker-sided map. DWG started the match on defense and had a very easy time countering Fnatic. DWG waited for Fnatic to roam clear before executing into the site. DWG would then kill everyone when Fnatic tried to get a plant. However, on round six, Fnatic attempted a very aggressive roam clear, which helped them win the round.
Riley "Stigs" Mills of Fnatic was able to get two kills in that round. This was followed by the rest of Fnatic dropping into the site and killing the remaining DWG players. The first half resulted in a 4-2 scoreline. After the side switch, Sanghoon "yass" Yoo of DWG got a triple kill by just holding the rotation from the library window. The triple kill by yass allowed the rest of his team to execute the site and win the round.
Fnatic almost had no chance to come back, so they tried to play aggressively to force gunfights. However, DWG thwarted Fnatic by just holding their rotations and coordinating as a team. DWG won the game without dropping a single round in the second half. The score was 7-2 in favor of DWG.
CYCLOPS Athlete Gaming vs. GUTS Gaming
This match was played in Kafe Dostoyevsky, which is a defender-sided map. Everyone expected CAG to win this map because they are more experienced and have better coordination. However, GUTS was completely prepared for CAG’s playstyle and countered them. GUTS gaming started on defense and destroyed CAG.
The second round was very intense as Hikaru "Li9ht" Osawa of GUTS got a triple kill while defending the site. Then Sho "BlackRay" Hasegawa of CAG immediately got a triple kill for his team but was unable to kill the others because there was no time left. GUTS gaming won the first half with a 6-0 scoreline. After the side switch, GUTS just had to win one round, which they did methodically and won the game with a 7-0 scoreline.
