Pokémon Go revealed that two Legendary Pokémon are returning to Raid Battles. Trainers around the world can expect to meet Latias and Latios in a Special Raid Weekend event. This event starts on Friday, June 12 at 8:00 AM (local time) and runs until June 15 at 10:00 PM (local time). Like any Raid Battles, these two Legendary Pokémon are going to be in five-star raids.

Latias and Latios and not only Dragon-type, but are also Psychic-type pocket monsters. This means that Trainers need to bring other Dragon-type Pokémon like Dialga and Rayquaza. In addition, these two Pokémon are likely to be weak against these types: Bug, Dark, Fairy, Ghost, and Ice. That means Pokémon in the likes of Mamoswine, Togekiss, and Tyranitar are where you should focus.

New Features

Developer Niantic is currently testing out new features to be introduced to the game. Last time we reported here at Player. One that they were testing out Reality Blending. This feature hopes to improve the gameplay experience even further. You can read more of that here.

Before that, Niantic was also looking at finding a way for Trainers to be able to invite friends and have them remotely join in Raid Battles. This particular feature is about to be rolled out, and once it is, Trainers should be able to see a '+' button not only in private raid lobbies, but also in public ones. Tapping the button allows a Trainer to invite a maximum of five friends.

So what’s being tested right now? Well it appears that Trainers are soon going to be able to personalize the Gifts that they send to their friends by using in-game stickers.

Once this feature is eventually released, Trainers get a set of stickers for free. To use a sticker, simply choose Add Sticker and then pick which one to attach to the gift. There’s going to be five stickers available once the feature is launched. The catch is that each sticker can only be used once, so be sure to stock up by opening gifts. Eventually Trainers should be able to buy some additional designs from the shop.
