New events this month. Niantic

It’s a new month and that means new events are here for Pokémon Go. There’s a new Research Breakthrough encounter along with the return of a fan-favorite event. This month also serves as the official debut of what is truly an electrifying Pokémon.

Who’s that Pokémon?

Let’s not take long and start with the one who’s set to make its first appearance in the game. It’s none other than the Deep Black Pokémon Zekrom. Beginning on June 16 at 4:00 EDT, this beauty is going to be available for Trainers to challenge in five-star raids. That’s not all as for three Wednesdays after that Zekrom is going to be featured in Raid Hour events. The schedules are:

  • June 17 at 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM (local time)
  • June 24 at 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM (local time)
  • July 1 at 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM (local time)

Those interested to take on the challenge should start to stock up on those Remote Raid Passes.

Encounters and Events

For the month of June, the Research Breakthrough encounter is going to be Trapinch plus bonus Trapinch Candies. This encounter starts on June 1 at 4:00 PM EDT and lasts all the way until July 1 at 4:00 PM EDT.

For events, Trainers are sure to experience some of the familiar ones sometime later this month. From June 19–24 there’s going to be a solstice-themed event. A week later, the Bug-Out event is going to run starting on June 26 and remaining active until July 1.

Spotlight Hours

There are going to be a total of four Pokémon Spotlight Hours this June. They will take place each Tuesday and start at 6:00 PM local time. The schedules are:

Throwback Challenge 2020

If you’ve been completing the Throwback challenges since they started, then you should have finished all four of them by now. That itself is already a big achievement. However, there’s still one left and this is none other than the Throwback Challenge Champion 2020. The challenge begins on June 3 and ends on June 8. Learn more about the challenge here.
