It’s just a few days before the big day is here. The Pokémon Go Fest is happening this weekend from July 25 to July 26. There’s going to be lot of exclusive content and since this event is going to be purely online, there’s going to be a Virtual Team Lounge instead of the usual Team Lounge. This Virtual Team Lounge is going to host a number of different segments.

The whole event begins with the Pokémon Go Fest 2020 Global Kickoff on Friday, July 24 at 5:00 PM EDT. Trainers around the world get to experience the start of a once-in-a-lifetime event and it’s going to have a keynote by none other than Niantic founder and CEO John Hanke.

For those who want to learn more about how such an event came to be, tune in to The Makings of a Pokémon Go Fest. Listen to Senior Game Designer Laura Warner and Manager of Community and Social Liz George as they share on how this whole adventure started.

There’s also the Print at Home Kit: How to Build a Gift session with Craig Kitzman, the artist who created it. Read about the Print at Home Kit here.

On the technical side of things, there’s the Pokémon Go: Developer Insights stream, where Product Lead Matt Slemon is set to talk about some insights and highlights of what’s coming to the game. One of the things to watch out for in the festival is the Go Battle League. This is a good segment for those who want to learn, since it’s all about Getting Started in the Go Battle League.

Now while Pokémon Go may be a game, it’s not entirely that. Niantic is also about Social Impact and Diversity. If you’re new to the game, or even the festival itself, you should be happy to know that there’s actually a Look Closer teaser. In this segment, everyone gets the chance to see the Pokémon Go Fest 2020 Commercial Behind-the-Scenes. Get to understand and appreciate how this commercial was made despite the limitations of a pandemic. There’s even the possibility of director Rian Johnson himself making an appearance.

Trainers should also watch out for On-the-GO Update! In addition to live event updates, there are also Pokémon Go trivia sessions for a chance to win prizes. Finally, there is the Avatar Fashion Show. Get a screenshot of your avatar’s style and then use the #PokemonGOFest2020 hashtag and get a chance to be featured in this segment.

To view the full schedule, head on over to the Virtual Team Lounge here.
