As posted on the official Pokémon Go website, evolution items will now be included when you check into a PokéStop to get your 7-day streak bonus. This means you are guaranteed to get an evolution item, like a King’s Rock, Dragon Scale, or Sun Stone, at least once a week if you play daily. The update will also include minor text fixes.

Pokémon Go evolution items are incredibly rare. Ever since they were included in the game, I personally have only gotten one, despite playing almost daily. All that is about to change with Pokémon Go’s latest update.

To make sure you have the update with the new rewards, make sure your game is updated to version 0.59.1 on Android and 1.29.1 on iOS.

In other Pokémon Go news, a new event featuring water Pokémon is currently ongoing. During the event, players will have a much greater chance to catch water Pokémon, including the rare Lapras. The event ends on March 29 at 4 p.m. EST.

So what do you think? Are you excited to know more evolution items are coming your way? What other changes would you like to see in Pokémon Go? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
