There’s a new species arriving to Stellaris and players need to prepare for this one. The new Necroids Species Pack is set to introduce an intelligent species, one that believes death is not the end, but simply the beginning of the journey.
The Necroids Species Pack is going to bring a new selection of portraits, civics, ship sets and other cosmetics to Stellaris. The Necroids Species Pack is available for the PC for $7.99.
The Necroids Species Pack offers one new Origin known as Necrophage. This new Necrophage Origin makes gamer-martyrs a powerful primary species that consume others within its grasp. Necrophage adds three brand new civics, which are:
- Death Cult
- Enables powerful edicts which require the sacrificing of pops.
- Reanimated Armies
- Allows the deployment of morality-immune, undead armies.
- Memorialist
- Erects monuments to the galaxy’s past, improving planetary stability and honouring tomb worlds.
Other new additions arriving with the Necroids species pack are:
- 16 new portraits
- 15 organic
- One robotic
- New ship set
- New advisor voiceover
- New city set & diplomacy room
- New Name lists
- New building cosmetics
The Necroids Species Pack is the 12th expansion to be released for Stellaris. It’s not a full expansion, as the previous update was Federations, which was released in March of this year.
Stellaris was first released in 2016 for the PC. Versions for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were released in 2019. Stellaris is developed by Paradox Development Studios, who is also responsible for games like the Crusader Kings series, Hearts of Iron franchise and Imperator: Rome, among others.
