Sony’s crown jewel, Naughty Dog, is known for developing some of the best video games in the industry. From the action-adventure Uncharted franchise to the story-driven survival game The Last of Us. They all received critical reception. Even their older titles, Crash Bandicoot and Jax and Daxter were positively reviewed.

Naughty Dog hasn’t made a new IP since 2013. All its games since then have been sequels to existing franchises. In a recent interview, the ND leadership talked about what’s next.

Evan Wells claimed that the developer wants to make a new IP, but they also don’t wanna forget their older games. According to him, in the future, you can expect both kinds of games. However, they will not be returning to kid-friendly games like CB.

It seems like Naughty Dog is going to be very busy for the next few years. We do know that their next title is the standalone MP game TLOU Factions based on The Last of Us Part 2. The developer is also hiring tons of people for the game.

A previous report suggested that a full-fledged remake of the original The Last of Us is currently in development. However, the remake hasn’t been officially announced.

That’s not all though, back in April, Neil Druckmann said in a podcast that they have outlined the story of The Last of Us Part 3. We don’t know if TLOU3 is in development, but if it is, then it’s probably years away.

These are all the games Naughty Dog is making or could make in the future.

  • The Last of Us Factions (confirmed)
  • The Last of Us Remake (rumored)
  • New Untitled IP (hinted by ND)
  • The Last of Us Part 3 (story outlined)

Players shouldn’t expect a new Uncharted game anytime soon. Wells already said back in 2017 that the studio won’t be developing any more Uncharted games. However, another Sony development studio is free to do so.

Speaking of Uncharted, a financial report by Sony confirmed that Uncharted 4 will be coming to PC soon. An actual official confirmation is still yet to come.
